Document scope (genes only)
Every document added to a Gene page will receive a Document Scope designation. This field determines if the Document is linked to the current gene only, to all synonymous genes within the current species, or to all synonymous genes across all species. This way a supporting document can appear in all relevant gene pages where appropriate.

| Link within species | The document will appear in all synonymous gene pages within the current species. (The species of the Gene page you are adding it to) |
| Link to current genome | The document will ONLY appear on the current gene page. |
